This three-day event will provide all of the support needed for teams to hack out a DMC app related to real-world manufacturing floor issues.
Six months of machine tool data will be released to support the hackathon. This is real data used in an operational environment constantly churning out orders. The challenge will be exploiting this data in some interesting way, such as predicting part failure, or proposing energy optimization schemes. Part of the judging criteria will be based on how teams are able to integrate solutions with the DMC web platform.
